Just prior to officially announcing as a candidate for Governor of the Commonwealth, St. Sen. Dan Wolf (D. Harwich) committed to addressing the SDTC July monthly meeting. Despite having begun an intense campaign starting with an address to the recent State Convention Sen. Wolf held true to his commitment and spoke to the SDTC and guests at its regular monthly meeting on July 15.

The 25 or so members present listened intently and enthusiastically as Sen. Wolf traced the evolution of the social, economic, and political values that impel him to public service, starting with his early education at a Friends school in Pennsylvania where he grew up. Sen. Wolf emphasized the importance of re-balancing the distribution of wealth and realities of the American dream to restore a Democratic Party effort to advance our goals and objectives.

He maintained a positive focus on business and its importance, not just for recovering from years of eroding personal income and opportunity, but in fact resuming advancing the social and economic agendas that Democrats had initially pursued in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
